This painting carries a personal story for me.

My grandmother used rosehip oil for everything. Whenever I fell or came home with scraped knees, she would carefully rub some onto my skin and say, “Rosehip oil cures everything.” Since then, rosehips have stayed with me as a symbol of healing, of softening what feels rough, and of moving through life’s changes with a little more grace.

For me, the rosehip buds also hold the feeling of potential — a quiet reminder that strength and renewal live inside us, even when we don’t always see it. That there is a way to make something beautiful again.

The warmth and brightness of this painting grew from that idea. It’s a piece about hope, gentleness, and the quiet power of becoming.
